sydney born kate spent a year at culinary college learning french & asian techniques before moving on in the world of food.  in 1987 she donned a backpack, took some national geographics as her guide & started eating her way around the world. after two years she finally got the dream job – getting paid to travel and cook.  she spent the next 15 years cooking for a variety of bands & their support crews learning how to make the most of the local & seasonal produce, eating out with her local helpers in each city, and putting to use french, german & spanish at local artisan markets around the globe. kate moved to los angeles in 1992, and opened foodink catering as a boutique concept for creating food driven by each client’s tastes but backed by a seasoned palate for innovation & unique event styling her motto: start fresh – cook with love – eat all in moderation

new zealand born, australian raised; emma trained classically in restaurant in sydney & auckland after leaving culinary school.  she discovered the vital link between local artisan growers & producers whilst sourcing new products for her menus & is passionate about the link between field & table.  now with 18 years in her chefs’ jacket, including ten years on the road catering for bands, emma has relocated to los angeles to pursue further food quests & enjoy a good life of eating & entertaining with a “hybrid aussie – kiwi” flair in her new home with conrad, jai & jazzy.
